Hello, quick question. I went back to my stock trd exhaust and I noticed this good size gap between the exhaust pipe and the Y pipe. I replaced the gasket with a new one and tightened down to a snug fit. Currently no leaks coming from flange but maybe time will tell. Has one else who had a aftermarket exhaust that went back to the factory one noticed this gap or even anyone who didn't change the exhaust out.

    thanks

PS in the third pic you can kinda see the exhaust in the gap. Sorry for the junk pics

I don't have much experience with the Tacoma, being a new owner, but from my experience with modding cars, quite a few times when someone changes out his/her exhaust, the gasket stays with the removed portion of the pipe. Usually it's not noticed until the car is started up and/or driven and you hear/smell the exhaust leak.
