What are the Stock gear ratios for the following?

    1. TRD sport/off road

    2. 4x4 V6 Base model, i.e. double cab

    3. V6 base model double cab prerunner

    Thanks for the help!

    6 lug v6's = 3.73

    6 lug i4's = 4.10

does not matter what configuration other than above.

    5 luggers, no clue.

6 lug 2.7L I am pretty sure still has 4.10 gears.

The V6 6 speed manual still has 3.73 gears, but the gears whose names escape me are different. The 6SP manual is geared a little shorter than an automatic V6 with 4.10s.

Which many say is overgeared. Technically you're supposed to get lower mileage with the manual but I have heard some saying they get fine mileage and personally the fun of driving it would outweigh any mileage benefits for me. The 6MT has more problems than the 5ATs though, the 5ATs are very reliable from what I've seen here.

    Edit:

I just looked it up, 6 lug autos (V6) have 3.73's, 2.7L 6 lugs (Prerunner) have 3.58's while the 2.7L 4WD Access Cab and Single cab Manual and Auto's have 4.10 ratio's.

Im almost positive it does not matter whether auto or manual in the 6 lug tacos. V6's get 3.73's I4's get 4.10's

5 lug's though have the smaller gear rations 3.58 etc due to smaller tire size. But im not sure of their config.

I could be totally wrong on that one, I had a vague memory of reading it in the 255/85r16 tire thread but I could remember wrong... It wouldn't be the first time.

3.90 gear ratios applies to the 3rd gen tacomas 3.5 eng. with auto. Doesn't apply here for the 2nd gen Tacomas.

All good. Stick around and see what you are missing out on by owning a 3rd gen.
