Hopefully someone can shed some light on this for me. Does anyone know if the stock head unit in a 2014 has a crossover that limits the bass the higher you turn the volume up? I have two 10-in and two 8-in hideaways along with upgraded door speakers and a kicker key amp powering them. I noticed when the volume is low the bass actually seems to hit harder than when I turn it most or all of the way up. If there is a limiter is there any way to defeat it? Thank you in advance.

This is called ‘bass roll-off’ and is present in a TON of vehicles. It is surprisingly not present on the 3rd gen head units so I’m not positive if it’s there on the 2nd. I doubt it, but I don’t know for sure.
