I like my '13 lights. The first thing people say when they get in my truck at night is, "Dayum! These lights are badass!"

It took a long time for DOT to allow "E" spec lights on the American roads many years ago we used to have to take "E" spec light out of import cars in order to import them. The sharp cut off you see on the Taco and others are European design the whole ideal is to keep your lights from blinding on coming cars it took a long time for DOT to have an ah ha moment. It took all most the same amount of time for them to allow composite (molded plastic lights) on US car/trucks.

I checked out his site. Some interesting stuff there, but buying bulbs from just a guy with a few pages, what made you trust him?

On another note, he talks about upgrading the wire to bulbs (Headlights in particular) Has anyone with a 2nd gen decided to do that? I'm pretty sure we already have headlight relays. :proposetoast: thanks for the link!

I emailed Anzo wondering if anything was in the works for the 2013's and they told me it was.

I don't know whether to wait and risk it either taking forever to be released and/or be sketchy quality or do the retro and hope I don't mess it up.

I have a '13 Audi A6 with factory HID's and I would say that they are little brighter closer to the vehicle but overall spread and distance, the Tacoma is a little better. That's with the same 70/65w bulbs you have. And my '13 Tacoma headlights were shining WAY high from the factory.
