I swear I've read this somewhere here but for the life of me I can't find it with the search function.

Does anyone know the maximum mounting depth for the stock, JBL sub box in the 05-15 double cabs? I'm looking to replace mine with something different and want to make sure I don't buy something that doesn't fit.

    Thanks!

I'm aware of the common ones that others have used but looking to see what the max depth is so I can see what my other options are.

Have you gotten a rough estimate of mounting depth yourself? Take a ruler and put it across the mounting surface. Move it around and measure depth with a tape measure.

I understand how to take the measurement, and I would do so except it would require I disassemble the rear seat area and remove the sub to take said measurements. I'd seen this info posted here before so figured this would be a quick question to answer without having to spend a weekend afternoon dismantling my truck.
