    Hi all,

I'm curious what's the best money can buy set of shocks for the Taco? I have a 2013 Tacoma, double cab, v6 automatic and I have been thinking about upgrading those shocks. I've heard a lot about Bilstein 5100s on this site but I"m not even sure which would be the correct one for my 2013 Taco. I've tried using the "find Part" tool on different websites such as Amazon to find the correct set of shocks but no help. Any suggestions?

Some of this Some of that
Best ride for the money is definitely the 5100's. Same shocks for 05-13.

I have no immediate plan on lifting the taco. However, the thought of lifting her up 3" has crossed my mind before with a set of after market-wheels/tires. Perhaps this may happen down the road (2-3 yrs?).

How much am I looking to spend? I don't want to spend more than $1k for the shocks alone because I do not plan on doing off roading other than off-roading to the garden with friends and families once in a while. Well..., unless a set of shocks out there can provides the comfort and handling like that of a upscale luxury car/trucks' then I would jump on it regardless how much it costs. It is my ignorant opionion that no shocks along can provide such comfort and handling. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

5100's for the money hands down. Set them at stock height on the front or .85 to level the truck out. No it's not going to turn the ride into a Lexus GX470 but it is far and away better than stock.

So, the one listed on Amazon at the link above would fit my 13 Taco even though it says it wouldn't fit?

Thanks, Tripps! I count on great/helpful guys like yourself when it comes to the Taco .

I'm hoping for many years of reliable services from her on our typical Midwest weathers with a better set of shocks and more aggressive tires for her.
