Hey all, I may sound clueless and perhaps I am....

I am currently running Icon 2.5 coils in the front and the RXTs in the rear. I have about 2 inches of lift with the coils and leaf pack and am in need of a new set of Lower Control Arms. I have run Total Chaos stock length lowers for several years now and being in the North East, the uniballs just get eaten up with the exposure to the elements.

Are people just running stock lowers with aftermarket uppers?

    Thanks for shedding some light!

    Cheers.

Yes lots of people run stock lowers with aftermarket uppers and coilovers. I would say that is pretty much the standard as the LCAs are not required to be replaced to get a good alignment

    More than I can afford
My truck has a T/C uniball upper and Icon coilovers.
No issues I am aware of, other then it is time for me to do lower balljoints and bushings.
And I might just go ahead and get TC lower arms.

ball joints and bushings are way cheaper to replace than buying new TC LCAs by far! also those lower ball joints are easy to replace, just a couple bolts and its off.

Yes it’s pretty common SPC uppers, kings, and hell moog lcas, 85k of abuse on the lcas still holding steady.

Those aftermarket LCA's are very tempting though! Just out of price range for making it an upgrade vs oem LCA maintenance.
