Why does everyone take off the stock mud flaps on a 4x4 tacoma? Are they cheap?

I personally think they look gay, and when they rub going over a curb you know something is wrong. I guess if you trim them up they aren't too bad, just not my thing.

That and when you can sell a set for $200... Deuces!

I liked the looks of mine on the front of the truck but had to take them off after a few times off road. They rub on everything: rocks, ruts, etc. and the noise they made was horrible. So I took the front ones off before they got too beat up, 1 because they scraped on everything, and 2 I'll probably put them back on if I ever sell it (which I won't but who knows).

I always will keep the rear on, no point in chipping up other peoples windshields. And they look really good.

Seems to be several on ebay right now, wait till there are only a few active auctions to put them up. Also make sure to clean them up before taking pictures.
