Sold mine for $300 to a tech who put on my new wheels/tires. Tires had 25k on them with some uneven wear, so I was figuring really just selling wheels. Guy was happy about deal and I didn't have to advertise and wait so I was fine with it. This was in the Raleigh area.

Edit - did not include TPMS in sale. Those went into my new wheels.

I gave my wheels away at $200 (needed more space than money) and my tires for another $100. Incidentally I had 2 members from here swear up and down they would purchase them from me and asked me to hold on to them which I did and both ended up flaking lol. Sold them in a few days on cl.

I sold mine on FB marketplace for $700 with 17k miles and no TPMS. I must've gotten pretty lucky they sold in like 5 hours.

I am going to break mine apart to get the sensors out. Found a buyer for the 5 tires for $400 and the wheels for $400 from a different buyer.

I'm in the same boat, just swapped for new tires Monday and stumbled on a buyer the same day to buy my stockers on here for 300. Turned out to be too good to be true, buyer flaked.

I've seen people put them up for $1100-1200. As a seller, that might sound reasonable. But as a shopper, I laugh every time I see a set going for that much, even when complete with TPMS. That being said, I don't blame the seller for trying. Someone might be dumb enough to pay that much. I would personally pay $800 max, anything less being a good bargain (with TPMS).

Take into consideration a buyer is going to have to spend in the neighborhood of $100+ to get their sensors put in. Then consider a smart shopper can get a brand new tire wheel set for $1000 that is much better than the stock Taco takeoffs.

More or less the unspoken side of my logic. The seller doesn't have much leverage to ask $$$$ for their OEM wheel setups when there are better aftermarket options. Also why I laugh when I see sets going for $1200. But, again, someone might be dumb enough to pay that.

Huh? Those are on the wheel not tire, and will or can swap to the new wheel, maybe a rebuild (gaskets/oring) but good to go, unless you need a different angle (steel vs. alloys)

I see them listed for $1000 + all the time the same way sides steps get listed for $600.

Then the sell for about $800 the way side steps sell for $200

Lots of 2nd Gen Tacoma who need to buy new tires anyway get the wheels for a great price.

That’s crazy. Must be a regional thing. I do see the occasional set listed for that but generally tires/wheels are listed for $600 here. Saw a set a while back with 10k on them for $400.

All depends on Location, Supply and Demand. I sold my set with 20K for $650, without TPMS or Lugnuts about a month ago. There were a few scratches on them from the shop removing the TPMS sensors. This is on Oahu, Hawaii. I see sets list for $400-$1200 depending on miles and condition. I started at $800 and kept going down due to a few responses and flakers. Took about 2 months to sell. If i listed them for $650 from the get go, It would have gone faster. I had lots of low ball offers in the $300-400 range but i held out.

I was chatting with another 3rd gen owner that sold his wheel/tire combo when the 3rd gens first came out and he got $900 for them, but now the market is flooded with them and will be even more so when the 2020 comes out with 2016-2019 3rd gen owners wanting a refresh to the 2020 wheels. I sat on my wheels for 6 months but wanted to unload them before the 2020 came out. If you are willing to wait, you may be able to get more but with the 2020 refresh, time is not on your side.

I purchased my truck last Seot, and the TRD wheels & tires were part of the deal.

I listed at $800, and that was my walk away price as below that it made more sense to keep them as spares.

I got allot of low ball offers, and then sold for $800.

Several of the lowballers purchased other parts, but kept asking me to sell the tires for $600. I kept in touch and they then expressed regret because they ended up paying $150 per tire plus tax & fees for just tires.

For $100 more they could have had nice TRD OR wheels which look fab on 2nd gen tacos and 3rd and 4th gen 4 runners.
