I've an increasingly frustrating issue with my 2005 Tacoma Double Cab stock head AM/FM/CD (6 CD changer). The frequency on the radio will randomly change by a very small amount. For example, when in AM mode it will change from 1030 to 1020. In FM mode, it will change from 98.5 to 98.3. A couple things:

    1. I am not mistakenly hitting the controls on the steering wheel. If this were the case, the radio would change to another preset station, not by a small frequency or amplitude unit. I cannot make this small change via the steering wheel.

    2. It does not matter if I am turning or going straight. It happens randomly.

    3. It happens in AM more frequently than FM.

    4. There is a second or two of silience before it happens.

    5. I've researched this and the most common explanation is ghost or hitting controls on steering wheel. Being a scientist, I am quite certain that neither is the case.

    6. No issues when playing a CD.

    7. It is beginning to happen more frequently. Yesterday it made listening to AM not possible as it occurred so frequently.

    Thoughts?
