Selling my 1985 Toyota Pickup. Located in Raeford, NC.

The truck has seen a lot of improvements and upkeep repairs since I owned it. I had big plans to 4 link it but a set of twin girls came along and I rarely drive the truck now. I dont need to sell it, but I won't be turning it into my designated trail truck. I want someone else to enjoy it instead of seeing it sit.

    *Details*

    -Solid Front Axle

    -22RE

    -Manual

    -4x4

    *New Parts and Maintenance*

    -New Alternator

    -New Starter

    -New Fuel Filter

    -New head at 220k

    -New OEM Oil Pump

-New Metal Timing Guides (LCE Engineering)

-New Timing Gear, Timing Chain (LCE Engineering)

    -LCE EGR Block Off Plates

-Freshly rebuilt front axle (Marlin Crawler rebuild kit)

    -New V6 Brake Calipers conversion

    -New V6 Vented Rotors conversion

-New V6 Brake Master Cylinder conversion

    -New Manual Hubs

    -New Tires

The cab and cab floors are solid. The interior is in good condition compared to others of the same age. Starts, runs, drives smooth. The seats are leather. The truck has not been offroad while I owned it. The drivetrain and suspension are untouched. This truck has not been modified so it is perfect for an off-road project by not having to undo bad work.

Needs a new driver fender. The previous owner damaged it and I put a 2WD fender on it to get by inspection. I might spend $50 on a correct fender. No factory AC. Pretty common, but the vent selector needs repaired. Defrost is not an option at this time. The bed is starting to bubble in a few spots along the body lines. It was repainted a few years before I bought it. Parking brake and rear brakes need attention but it stops on a dime with the V6 front brake upgrade. The frame is in really good shape and just needs re-coated.

    *Extra Parts*

-Hi-Pinion Front Diff from Land Cruiser.

-Used ARB Air Locker (needs love but complete)

-Marlin Crawler Rear Axle Rebuild Kit

    -Marling Crawler Pinion Seal (Spare)

    -4xInnovation Door Pin Kit

    -Spare Warn Manual Hubs

    -Misc. Gaskets for the engine

I probably have more stuff and just need to look.

The truck isn't perfect but its in great shape compared to others its age that have been abused.

$6000 OBO. No reasonable offer refused.

    Thanks for looking!

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Bump for one badass rig. Probably the most capable yota I have owned.

Thanks! Yea I just don't have the time to do everything I want to it. Plus twins are expensive. In about 5 years I'll probably regret this.

As a previous first owner of a brand new 1979 tan short bed 4x4, I can tell you with absolute certainty that you're gonna regret this. :frusty:

There's always more opportunities to buy classic, well built trucks for cheap, right?

Oh understand where you're at. I just know how I feel every time I see a nice old Pickup. Also, do you know how many times I've talked my brother out off selling his 1972 Bronco? He bought it for $8k about 15 years ago and hasn't put much into it. I feel it's a nice uncut truck worth probably $20k now.

Sorry for hijacking your for sale :hattip:post!

if you own it and don’t owe anything keep it. Just keep it. That’s all.

Like I said, dont have to sell it, but I have enough keeping me busy that I can't do what I want to it in a short period of time. Im not patient with projects.

Yea....after I pulled the interior and got it cleaned up yesterday, I thought about a couple things. The truck really is solid. I just have too much going on at the moment so it deserves a new home
