Looking for cheap OEM speaker replacements, I have a blown tweeter/sail speaker, and I think one of the lower front door speakers is on its way out. I have no interest in upgrading to crazy expensive speakers, just looking to replace what I have without adapters, just cheap drop ins. Do they exist?

Pioneer CD, Megaloud/JBL amps, Rockford/Polk speakers.
I've had both Powerbass and Hifonics component sets in my old Chevy truck..sounded great even with a 200 watt amp, they'd be a big upgrade and sound better than stock for you. Both sets came in well under $100, I want to say about 75.

I'm believing you have 6.5 lowers. If not, 6x9 Pioneer or Rockford Fosgates would be your ticket.

Id look at the kickers available at Wal-mart to replace the door speakers or if you have a Car toys close they have good low price speakers. May as well replace all of them at one time. Or look at crutchfield for a set, but either way you will need the factory plug adapters unless you plan to solder them.

Hey Guys I think you are missing the point. He is looking to replace his speakers with out having to buy Speaker adapters.

Sadly I'm not aware of any speakers that you can buy that wont need an adapter. that being said if you order your speakers from Crutchfield they will give you the adapters for free,

Also when replacing your stock speakers I wouldn't recommend going with the cheapest option I have done this in the past thinking that they would still be an upgrade over stock and found that they were actually worse. Causing me to blow the new speakers much quicker. I'm not saying to go out and buy the best I'm just saying don't go buy the Cheapest.

I will be upgrading my entire sound system the week after Christmas if you haven't found any by then. I'll subscribe to this thread and keep an eye on it.

I just realized the OP was second gen. 6x8's are a factory replacement for us. I was referring to factory adapters for the speaker connections.

He has a 2006 Tacoma and they have 6.5 speakers all the way around but you cant just go buy 6.5 inch replacement speakers. you need to buy an adapter plate to go in between the speaker and the door because the Factory speaker has a Bezel around it that can't be removed and reused.

You can also make your own bezel's.. MDF wood and a router, takes almost no time. There is even a guy who put up full size pic's that you can use as a template.

This is what I am looking for at this point, a set of OEM speakers from someone that is replacing theirs. I just dont care about upgrading them, but one of my sail/tweeter speakers is partially blown and on some songs it makes weird noises. I dont really want to "upgrade" the sound system, it would be nice, but it isnt my thing, and I dont have an interest in wiring new speakers or making/buying adapters. Also, my budget for fixing this speaker is just about nothing, but it annoys me enough to want to try to fix it. If I cant get a OEM speaker for cheap and it gets worse, I will likely just unplug it...
