I guarantee you it will still rub in certain circumstances such as full lock in reverse, incline/decline situations.

Yep, I'm dealing with this now. Was told it would fit by the folks I got the wheels from but it doesn't I will need to bring the front up at least 1/2" mudflaps removed, rubs at front and rear of front wheel.

I've used 5100's on a tundra before and don't want that much of a lift. Just enough to clear these tires. Running FN Countersteer X w/ 265/70-17 Falken AT3W's.

I should have done more research on the offsets. -10 was sure to cause rubbing without a lift. The 0 offset wheels seem to make fitment possible. Crazy 10mm can do it.

I have a '20 TRD sport and am looking at buying 17x9 fuel beast wheels and going up to 265/70 from the stock 265/65. The part I am having difficulty understanding is which offset to choose to avoid rubbing. I am not planning on a lift quite yet.

They offer a -12 and a 0 offset. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have 265/70/17 Falken Wildpeaks on 17x9 -12 offset (TRD Pro). I don't have mudflaps. They did rub at first, but then with the smallest amount of moving plastic and snipping, they don't rub. Not full lock reverse, not speed bumps, not at all. I haven't been off road yet, but I think I will be ok. The Pro has a 1" lift, so I suppose that helps.

Im considering procomp wheels 17x9 -6 offset and 108mm bore. Shooting for the 265/70 17 general ATx tires. Hoping these will fit.

265/65/17 on 17x9 +1 offset. Does anyone think it will rub?? From.looking online it says inside will be maybe 2 mm closer and it will stick out 1.36 of a.inch more.then it does.now with thr 16x7 +25mm steel rims

I have 265/70/17 Falken Wildpeaks on 17x8.5 +0 offset. I have a TRD OR, but with TRD Pro suspension. I do have mudflaps. I do have minor rub on occasion in the front.

The thread below is a great companion to this one:

    -----

    Will it rub? For sure!

    Here is my setup:

    Bone stock TRD Sport
    M e t h o d 305 NV 17x8.5 / 0 offset
Toyo Open Country AT III 265/70R17

Initially, they rub the front mudflaps at about half a turn. Removing the mudflaps still had very minor rubbing.

So I had to do minor trimming in the fender area PLUS trim and heat form the mudflaps so I can put them back. No more rub after that except maybe in full/extreme articulation.

As you can see more offset would make this worse

Hey there, so I have a 2022 SR (base/rwd/utilitypackage) in Ice Cap/white. I just ordered some Method 703s matte black 17x8.5 +0 offset, toyo at3s 265/70r17e. My truck doesn't have mud flaps. will i need to trim or should i be okay? I don't mind a little rubof the inner lining or something at full turn i dont really offroad alot and can always heat gun it in the summer time. Gonna get them mounted this next week, ill guess ill find out

Running 265/75R16 which is about the same diameter of tire, just different wheel size. On TRD pro 16" rims I think the offset is around +13, which allows the tires to clear the front mud flaps even when turned and full stuffed upwards into the suspension (which I have definitely managed to do turning around on tight trails several times). Lift is about 2" but that's basically irrelevant when considering potential front tire rubbing at full upwards suspension articulation and max wheel over. Most of the stuff I see where rubbing was encountered seems to involve near zero or negative offset wheels that cause increase the scrubbing radius and chance for rubbing when turning.

You need a better wheel alignment
