Upgraded my 2016 with the P265/65R17 BFG Rugged Terrain Tires. Overall impressed with them for the first 14,000 miles. Went in for service, nail in tire on outside corner. My issue is the tire is now deleted, none available anywhere except used online. Now dealer suggest I buy 4 new tires, of course, but they issue nothing for the other 3 good ones still at 11/32. Has anyone experienced this yet? How did you handle?

If I'm stuck getting 4 new ones, I was looking at the Goodyear Duratracks or the Goodyear All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar. Any reports on these tires? I had great success with the Goodyear Wrangler with Kevlar on my 2003 Taco, 80,000 miles on 1 set. I do pull my boat often and hunt the backwoods but nothing deep in mud. I would like input if anyone tried these tires yet? Highway miles during the week to work. Thanks.

Duratracs are great for snow but are well known for flimsy sidewalls. So if you want more nails... buy Duratracs.

If you want more puncture resistant firewalls get Cooper Tires.

If your not in mud, then you can look at other options. Cooper Discoverer AT3, there's the popular BF Goodrich AT KO2s, General Grabber AT2. If your a fan of the stock OR tires the All Terrain Adventure w/Kevlar then go with them. I know right at Sams Club/Walmart Goodyear is running a instant $80 off rebate at checkout. Can buy from them and have a trusted shop to install. Unless you know the guys at the Sams/Walmart are good to go.

Nonsense. 20k on the Duratracs on my Jeep and they are great. Zero issues.

Tell your DOT to clean the damn roads and stop blaming the tires.

I've been running the BF Goodrich AT KO2s and the KOs for years before that. Great traction, mileage, durability and strong sidewalls. I have Goodyears with Kevlar on the wife's Jeep and I'm not impressed. We have still had a puncture through the Kevlar and a torn sidewall for no apparent reason.

I know the tech issues at some Walmarts out there, I work at one and have a good crew. The dealer wants to offer me the buy 3 get 1 for $1 deal but choice of tires are vety limited. Walmart has $80 off deal plus I get 10%. Goodyear direct has $160 off. Guess i gotta start shopping begore tire blows. Thanks

Didn't say they weren't good tires. Just pointing out that they are known for puncturing much more easily. Great snow tire. But OP lives in Louisiana so I'm doubting that matters much to him.

Duratracs are terrible if you value your hearing at all, sure they seem great at first but then they start getting louder and the tread seem to start disappearing. Also, I wouldn't buy tires at the dealership.

Who cares where he buys them if it's a good deal?

So long as they get mounted and balanced properly a tire is the same quality no matter which vendor you buy it from.

Yes, I'm just outside Baton Rouge and due to the devastating flood last August, construction is everywhere and so are the nails. I'm sure there's going to be more to find my tires. No snow and not too much mud playing. I tried the Walmart exclusive Wrangler Authority and not impressed on the 03 Taco. Gonna do more research.

I have had several sets of Duratracs on 2003 tacoma and a 2003 ranger in some of the toughest terrain in the country here in the desert southwest....never had a problem with the sidewalls.

If you want a decent A/T tire without going crazy aggressive check out the Cooper Discoverer A/T 3's. Great all around tires. Siped for good wet traction (I imagine you all get plenty of rain there). We use these on 1/2 Ton trucks hauling trailers in the mountains in Montana on fleet vehicles.

If you do lots of highway driving you could easily get away with the Michelin A/T 2's as well.

    Update.

Met with service manager and he would replace 3 if I took care of 1. Went with the GY Adventure tires and ride is great! One problem, now its parked at dealership til due to the rear diff issue with 15 others. I wouldn't settle for a loaner for anything less than a truck, lucked out and using a dealer 2017 Tundra, still rather my Taco. Guesd now i gotta play waiting game.
