Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
I have found that the best tires for serious Winter snow/packed snow/ice conditions are MICHELIN® X-ICE® SNOW 265/70R16.
I wouldn't run them year-round here because of the rubber composition (they're only 40K mile tires). Can't really speak to dry off-road conditions.

Thanks all, for the help; I think I found what I need at a good price. I went Westlake SL 369 LT245/75R (rather than 265/70) 16 AT. Hope I didnt lose my man card.

Stupid question: In a pinch, can I still use my 265/70 spare after putting on 245/75s? (Correcton to the above post on tire size)

I have duratracs that I could get by with yearlong if I wanted, but i still changeover to winter tires come mid October. What part of Alaska are you in, it makes a difference in the winter driving.
