    I tried searching, but I can't find anything... Does anyone know the specs of the stock 2017 TRD OR Wheels?

    Thanks.

    You know the wheel width and offset. Basic math. Divide rim width by 2, add the offset (+25mm in this case)

    Thanks, so...

    7" = 177.8mm
    177.8 / 2 = 88.9mm
    88.9mm + 25mm = 113.9mm (4.484")

    Edit: Online calculators say it's 4.98".

    7" = 177.8mm
    177.8 mm + 25.4 mm = 203.2
    203.2 / 2 = 101.6
    101.6 mm + 25mm = 126.6 mm (4.98")

    Backspace = (Rim's Tire Width + 1)/2 + (Offset/25.4)
    Where-
    Rim's Tire Width =
    Specified Tire Mounting Width for the rim, NOT the total
    rim width. The common practice is to add 1" to this, and the calculations
    above has it as well.

    Offset = The rims given Offset in Millimeters
    Backspace= The results in inches

    Is it safe to say that the 2017 TRD OR wheel has basically the same dimensions as the 2017 stock steel wheel? From what I can tell, they are both 16x7, +25MM (although I've seen different values for the steel wheel), 5" backspacing.

    Why the fuck is it so complicated to get wheel weight?
    Toyota has 3 pages of spec info but no weight.

    Dont for get the 1/2 of plating. For example, the wheels I choose for my 33s for no rub was 16x8 0 offset = 4" of backspacing, but if you take into account the plate it mounts to (standard plate thickness is 1/2"), I will have 4.5". Most wheel shops/companies already take that into consideration for you. Which was why my wheel spec if you go on their website is 0 offset, but with 4.5" backspacing.

    To calculate backspace, you need to use wheel width, not rim width. Rim width does not account for the thickness of the flanges.

    The formula is:
    (Rim width + 1"/2) + offset

    Example using stock OR wheel:
    (7+1)/2 + 25mm
    4" + 25mm = 5" backspace

    Example using a 16x8 -12mm
    (8+1)/2 + (-12)
    4.5" - 12mm = 4" backspace

    my new truck, the 2021 TRD Offroad, is equipped with the 16 by 7 machined wheels, offset +25mm. If I swap out the factory rim, no lift, for another 16 by 7 but has less positive offset, up to what number will the current tires start to rub? Note I'm thinking in terms of how much the wheels/tires can expand outwards, rather than in terms of increasing diameter. I'm not increasing the overall diameters. Thanks!!

    Like, so many.
    If you mean wheels with a more negative offset then you can go pretty wide, but it starts to look like roller skates if you do too much. 0 Offset will push your tires just outside of your wheel wells, -10 will give you a little "poke."

    exactly, that's what I meant. how much lower than 25mm can I go before it rubs the mud flap wall, basically. So, you are saying down to 0mm would still be ok? I don't really need the "wheel sticking out of well" look, but a little more so than stock would be nice, for both the wider stance look and stability. So, if 0mm is ok before rubbing begins, anywhere between 0 and 25mm would work....

    This is 0 offset. I don’t have mud flaps, but I don’t think they would hit.

    You can do somewhat of a test by taking a 1" block or similar and placing it on the outside corner of your tire and see if it hits.
