Stock TRD OR Wheels...

Why do so many seem to dislike them?

 

I actually really like them. I think they look great. I've been trying to find a set locally to buy.

I like them too. Would trade my sport wheels for OR if i could

 

I think they look good but a lot change them. I figure there's got to be a functional reason.

 

Im guessing people just want less offset

 

Functional reason? Like what, out of round or poor bead retention?

 

I was thinking weight or possible limitations on tire choices.

 

I don't, for a stock wheel I actually really like them. Maybe alot of bro's in the crowd?

 

Well I guess I'm just generalizing but it seems like most modded OR I've seen replace the wheels.

 

I like them as well, but they are 16's and I prefer 17's so I went with these instead with the black accents.

 

Also one of my favorite OEM wheels.

 

I never bother with aftermarket, dealing with backspacing, offsets.

 

Nah I feel ya, especially here, seems to be the first thing everyone mod's first (probably cause its the easiest and creates the most drastic change to the look of the truck). But I struggle because unless the truck is lifted or has a decent build, stock suspension and aftermarket wheels look a bit out of place, tacky to me, even though I've done it myself, so hard though not to start gutting your truck.

 

i like the stock wheels on my OR. No plans to change. Looks good in my opinion.

 

Found some locally for $725 WITH the Goodyear kevlar stocks in 16", which is what I need. I really just want the wheels and hoped to find some cheaper. I could always sell the tires. Just dont like to spend money.

 

I hate being that guy but a clean well maintained stock truck will do better come resale time than an aftermarket wheel special.

 

I don't dislike the stock wheels. I agree in that they do look great for a stock rim. I had the opportunity to get a new set of wheels and tires and wanted something other than black or grey on my Tacoma. Went with the Method bronze.

 

They look good a little dirty too.

 

Those do look good with a more aggressive tire that is for sure!
