Do not take this as a jab at any of the awesomely modded trucks on this forum. I love living through all of you. But I really want to see some love for the stock trucks. I was tired of the rough riding off-road rig. And I am absolutely loving the ride of my Trd pro. Any who if you are enjoying your ride give a response.

And if you have a sick ride for the trails and you think you can change my mind, post it up and let's see where this goes. No matter what I am loving the 3rd Gen.

This is the point of the pro, not needing to modify, it's good to go. Just needs tires, but burn off the goodyears first.

Famously the FJ cruiser had owners with this response, it rode REALLY good stock.

Funny you bring up the FJ. I think those were amazing too. And as for the tires, I would be lying if I said I haven't already been looking at some nice 265 75 r16. At a minimum a real A/T tire would be nice. Still hoping to get at least 45k out of the stock ones though.

NOPE. Leave the tires. Don't modify a thing.

That's exactly why I got the Baja didn't want the hassle, but wanted some capability to go in the woods. On the road rides smooth as hell just need to turn up the radio over the exhaust!

Is that a hint towards exhaust upgrade?

I was totally happy with my stock DCLB OR but when I won a set of wheels, I was FORCED to start the customization. Also went with 265/70r17 KO2's. A buddy of mine at work has a DCSB Sport with the matte TRD wheels and 265/70r16 KO2's and we parked side by side. We both agreed we liked my wheel/tires size better. Tried to get a pic but it was already too dark...... This is a very capable machine it totally stock form tho.

The truck rides so smooth with these tires though. But even when they wear out and I do get a slightly more aggressive at tire. I don't think you will be able to hear them over the exhaust. For the record I will probably stick with stock size to keep the ride and mpg's where they are now.

    Well done sir lol.

If his truck is a M/T, he'll definitely want the OV Tune.

I have the automatic transmission. And some how knock on wood, I haven't had any problems. Shifted a little wonky at first but it is pretty smooth now. I read all the problems others have had so I feel really luck with this truck. That may be why I am so happy with a it stock.

Right on man, glad to hear it. My only major gripe with the drivetrain is the terrible throttle response/delay. As you can imagine, this doesn't mix too well with a stick... and it's the reason why I've bought the aftermarket tune.

I love my Pro but I had to change out the incrapdescent cabin bulbs for something with more street cred. Oh and my low beams to HIDs also for street cred.

Next I'm gonna get a sweet CAI for the +14 hp and +19 lbs of torque they give, proven by dynos so I can finally take those pesky Tesla model s driving punks off the line.

Then I'll get some big ass tires. As big as can possibly fit. I don't care what I have to hack up to do it.

Liking my stock TRD Access Cab 6MT. Like the sport suspension, makes the truck feel heavier/rugged.
