Hey people question for you. I'm looking to upgrade my tires I was told on the stock wheel I can go as big as a 275/70R17. Any input would be great. I want to stay with the stock wheel and go big with the rubber. If I need to I will delete the mud flaps. TIA.

    6 inch lift. 35's.
For what it's worth I'm running a 315 75r16 on stock trd O/R wheel. I don't see any issues with your desired setup.

The widest you can go is 265. Any wider and you will rub the UCA unless you run wheel spacers. You can go 255/80r17 which is a 33" tire. You'll also have minimal rubbing with that size.

So going with a 255/80r17 will rub a bit. But what if I didn't want to go to an 80. I would really like a 285/70r17. I want it wider and a bit taller.

The first number in tire size is width, with the second just aspect ratio. any wider than 265 and you will need either rub your UCA (upper control arm) or you'll need some wheel spacers.

Here's a comparison of the two sizes.

Ok next what size spacers would I use to get a wider taller tire under the truck?

Bora makes spacers starting at 0.75"-2". If you want bigger and wider, I would recommend 285/70r17 with some 1" spacers. You'll need to lose mudflaps, trim some plastic in the wheel well, and maybe a can mount chop (CMC).
