I am looking at going with a 3" suspension lift and useing 285/75/16. I was told that as long as I used the stock wheels, that it would'nt rub. Is this true or false, anyone running this setup?

Think you need wheel spacers with those.

Welcome to TW. You will definitely need wheel spacers.

Or you could buy aftermarket rims with 4.5" backspacing.

If with wheel spacers and/or aftermarket rims, you're still going to have trim so fender well plastic, and possible chop the cab mount.
