    Guys,
I read a ton of things about tires so I’ll share my personal experience in case others may have the same questions.

First of My stock ones( Wrangler Kevlar reinforced) made it up to 40k miles but i could/should have had changed them a bit earlier. Ton of aquaplaning the last 2/3k miles.35 k is the number i would aim for those out there who have them.

i wasn’t sure what else to get and what the biggest size i could get without having no issues with the place i bought the tires at but i went with the KO2s, i picked the 265/85 R16 and was worried about the tires not fitting in.
Well, i paid under $800 after alignement at Costco and the tires look great on the truck and had plenty of room,2 inches in the front and back and about 2.5/3 in terms of height.

I have had them now for about 2/3k and despite having lost a couple of miles per gallon I can’t be happier with the feel and looks..and Theyr quiet ..

If you're stoked. Then so am I! Enjoy the new tires.

Don’t worry, they’ll get louder! I’m a KO2 fan but do acknowledge that as they wear they get louder. By 25k miles you’ll have a nice hum

Not sure. I’ve been running KO’s and KO2s for so long. I’m sure someone else can chime in with a recommendation on an AT tire that doesn’t start to hum with age

Why did you need an alignment for new tires?

It’s best practice to always get an alignment with new tires to prevent premature or uneven wearing. Think of it as insurance

Huh, never thought about it, never done it.. never even heard of anyone doing it until here. But I agree, if you feel like it is off it is cheaper then tires.

Nice tires, but I'm surprised they balanced ok.

I'm intrigued by the mpg hit. Are the bfgs that much heavier than stock? I'm looking at about 30k/yr and I'm debating on a second set of wheels and tires for beach trips, trail riding, etc and stock sized bfg atko were the choice. (I had them in the past and I'm not doing any real wheeling with the truck. Been there, done that, have other things for that.)

Has this been becoming a thing in the smaller sizes? I managed to get 35x12.50r15 STT Pros to balance out for another vehicle, but it's been a long time since I ran the BFGs in any form.

That's why I did t run them, too much bad press about that issue. I use to be diehard BFG guy until I read a lot of complaints.

I have around 30k on my BFG KO2’s and I don’t notice any more noise than when they were new. It’s an A/T tire, so you know going in that they will be noisier than any street tire. It’s only really noticeable if you don’t have any music playing or the windows are down.
