All they need is a hammer and a smaller size socket, the lug comes off like a normal lug...plenty of utube vids on it. I almost put all locking lug nuts on till i watched that video...i did buy three for my swing out, but that has a master locked cable on it too, unfortunately they are just deterents not prevention

I wish there was a dislike button because that's super unfortunate about just needing a hammer etc... :( bastards can always find a way around things.

Bummer man! I can't stand thieves.. at what point does somebody think they deserve other people's property? I just had my spare stolen. I told my girlfriend and she asked who did it... like I know? I'm going to call insurance, but I have a high deductible, so I'm thinking it'll be on me. Good luck!

Wish there was a way to booby trap this stuff!

I’ve been robbed and more than anything I wanted the thieves caught. I wonder if placing an ad on craigslist the next day might work. For example WTB 17” wheels that fit 6 lug Toyota. Craiglist is full of theives and scammers. They’re usually dumb as shit too. If you get a reply and it’s your wheels just go lowball them, which is a classic craigslist move, and when they say no you leave and call the cops. If Texas make a fair offer get them to help you load up the wheels then just shoot them and drive away. j/k Texas.

Damn... A thief is bad enough, a vandal is worse. Someone who steals wheels is both. Don't you just want to set the son of a bitch on fire and extinguish the flames with your tire iron?

I’m assuming aftermarket because I don’t think I have one for my spare. Came with the truck when I bought it. So not forsure

Man, thats like a bad dream! I think if they really want them they will get them off, with or without a lugnut key. I always take those locking lugnuts off my vehicles when I buy them because I always lose the key!
