Wow - full circle indeed! Thanks Snowhite for posting the exciting conclusion!

And now I'll be nervous every time I stay in a Las Vegas hotel. And will be sure to never visit anytime around SEMA. And should probably get a tracker of some form on the truck.

This story is one of the main reasons I rent shit for road trips that involve staying anywhere other than at friends or family places. Mine stay home tucked in their garage all locked down with video surveillance and whatever I rent I pay full meal deal insurance. Makes for care free travel with roadside assistance, car replacement & someone else's problem should their be any shenanigans............Glad the story here ended up win win for more than one person and the truck. Usually not the case.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I guess the US flags on the doors pretty much closes this case. I think a reunion is in order.

so.... is OP gonna want to buy back his truck?

though call.. if it were mine.. and I saw it posted up.. i would be damn tempted. but.. maybe that ship has sailed.. maybe its just not the same since its been modded by someone else. hard to say unless I was in that position.

I didn't really mod it. I just bought original bumper and headlights for it then found some 33 with those rims and put them on. Haven't really done anything else to it.

I was using the word "mod" loosely.

just referring to the fact it has been done up differently than how he had it.

I'm glad to see the thieves didn't roll it down a hill or anything.

but I was not expecting it to show up here again. Way to give it a second life

That's some brave thieves right there. Walk into a man's room at night while he's sleeping & take his keys without disturbing him. To steal his truck & only remove his mods. I would've expected the entire truck stripped to the frame or find the cab torched after everything was stripped.

It's not a wrecking yard. It's an auto auction that insurance sells salvaged or total loss vehicles through. What do you think they do with salvaged cars or vehicle they total? They sell them and people like me are able to buy them at a fraction of the cost.

As Snowhite said - the auction house got it from the insurance company.

Three weeks went by with the vehicle not being recovered, so the insurance paid out to the OP and at this point the title belongs to the insurance company.

At some point later the vehicle was recovered and the police gave it to the insurance company.

The insurance company sends it to the auction house to recover the little bit they can.

An enterprising guy like Snowhite shows up to the auction and buys the truck hoping there isn't anything awful about it and that it just needs some wheels and bumpers.
