You aren't the first! Really easy access under there unfortunately. I had mine stolen off my old Prerunner in high school.

The guy needs help. Someone can chime in here?

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As previously covered on TW, crack head steals cat for the precious metals inside and cash he will receive from unscrupulous wrecker. Convo done.

Please stay on topic and help the guy out.

    O.K.- Here's what happened...

Some knothead slid under your truck with a battery operated saws-all and cut the exhaust pipe in front of and behind the cat.

He then slid out with it and hauled ass.

Then, you started the truck, and was amazed at the incredible noise it made. Probably drove it, too.

After that, Some Other Knothead at a muffler shop was under there with either a welder, or a cutting torch, or a grinder, and probably all three.

    And then it wouldn't start.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that something else was damaged.

Slide under the truck, and look. Check out the area where all the cutting and welding was done. Do you see any wires?

The O2 sensor should be right there. Is it new? Are the wires intact? Is it all taped up?

The O2 sensor has power going to it from the ECU. If you short out the O2 sensor, it will blow a fuse in the fuse box under the hood.

Check all of your fuses as well. Wires might of been ripped apart and grounded out

If you smell gas, I'm guessing a fuel line was cut as well.

    Please update.

The code was for evap. Loss of fuel system pressure. if the cap is on, then there is a leak somewhere else. The fuel line or fuel return line may have been cut.

The fuel pump relay is under the hood in the big fuse box and the fuel pump is in the tank. Can you hear the pump running with just the key turned to the "on" position?
