Wow that sucks, well cali made it to not prosecute when people get caught so thieves are running crazy here.

I would weld the larger bolts to the nut. Same with shocks weld the lower bolt to the nut. Grind it off when u need to rebuild them

Wow, that is incredibly low down. I had my tailgate stolen in may of last year and was so confused, I cant imagine walking out to a missing bumper.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
    Damn, that sucks OP.
I hope you get some sort of reimbursement or retribution.

A few local members in that area should do a sting operation.

Plant a well-built truck in a easy target area and just wait for the would-be thieves to show up, then go to town with a pair of pliers and blowtorch.

This, so much. Hate to say it but I have a feeling this is inspired by people seeing all these social media whor.... I mean "ambassadors" fully equiped vehicles. Shit even some of them can't afford it so they rely on sponsors. People covet what they cannot afford. Regardless, it sucks.

To be fair, prop 47 made misdemeanor theft (under $950) technically not an arrest-able offense (although we still arrest and jail every person for it, but the jail lets them out pretty fast). They still get prosecuted, still have to go to court, still get convicted with jail / probation / restitution.

That bumper would still be felony theft since it's over $950...

And the bait bike thing would've been okay if they had done it once and called the cops after the fact... but they apparently did it to at least 4 different people and never called the police once. While I agree in prinicpal that thieves need to be ass-beat, at a certain point the balance shifts from these people are a victim to these people are trying to fuck dudes up.

Shitting in the streets of SF is a whole 'nother baby and it ain't a California state issue, I can tell you that.

This is crazy as well as the tacoma with stolen coilovers. Working so close to ontario makes me re-think everything (security wise) now.
