You probably have to kill them in your own yard though. Chasing them down the street is probably a little bit iffy.

You, "I tried to take my bike back and he swung at me. I was in fear for my life"

Officer, "He was 5'1" and weighed 110 pounds!"

You, "I was pretty sure he had a knife"

Officer, "Do you have a knife laying around that you don't want?" wink, wink

Definitely some validity to that, especially with "Castle Law" and what not.

Looks like somebody needs to set up a bait truck and catch you some night crawlers.
I had someone tamper with my truck down here once in the late evening. It did not end up well for them.

Some states are pretty loosey goosey. Like @Tacoaric said, TX Castle Law extends to your vehicle and place of employment. You think that's crazy, look up Colorado §18-1-704, North Dakota Chapter 12.1-05-07, and Nevada NRS 200.120.

Hahaha Frank is my spirit guide.

Gee, in the far north extremely rural areas near me in northern California people really do go missing for this type of thing.
Hell, I've seen people go missing for simply driving on the wrong road. My old employer who retired was beat and shot in the head in his own front yard because he was on a wrong road earlier that morning.
I can't seem to find the words to describe things that happen up here. Law enforcement doesn't go to half the places they should and it sucks that if they do (because its their job) some asshole shoots them.
I hope all works out well in this case. I hope there's an easy salutation and a bumper in the near future.
