    More than I can afford
Cordless grinders are available right next to the cordless impacts.
And people don't pay attention worth a crap.
I spent a good 5-10 minutes grinding and hammering the lock off a storage unit in a secure facility with people walking past and nobody said anything.
Said storage unit had ~$100k worth of electronics in it.

One my industry cohorts had broken his key off in the lock (it was his storage unit) and knowing I had a cordless grinder in my work truck, called me over to help. We were both pretty disappointed that nobody said anything to us.

The whole theft thing is getting out of hand in CA. My neighborhood used to have ZERO property crime, now there are thefts at all hours, day and night. It looks like the friggin Walking Dead out in front of my house sometimes with all the friggin meth zombies and homeless shambling about. And they are getting bolder. What used to be nuisance crimes (bike thefts out of front yards, packages, garden tools from the sides of houses) is/has progressed into daylight forced entry "smash and grab" burglaries.

It is getting so bad that I am considering keeping the beater car we are trying to get rid of just so I can use it to run errands. Can't leave anything of value out in public, even if it is bolted down.

I keep "protection" nearby at all times.

Seeing a front bumper stolen is just .....wow, I can’t even describe it in words.

I had my Tacoma broken into a few years back and am one of the lucky few where the individual was arrested and my information was returned. He was stealing documents to then sell a person’s identity online. He lived in my neighborhood too. Point of me telling my story is:

OP’er - I wouldn’t doubt as a few others have said, it’s someone who saw your truck daily/weekly and probably lives or works near where the truck was parked at the time of the crime. Keep getting the word out around the area and it might not be a bad idea to check in with some body shops in the chance the theif thinks they can get away with it by repainting the bumper. I really hope you catch the scumbag(s).

I investigated thefts years back. Don’t know Canada laws.

Are they serial numbered? the lights have s/n...

if located we would use these to link it to our complainants property. We could seize the stolen property. It would go before a property hearing and most of the time the stolen property was returned. Proving the theft would be difficult but at least we got some property back for our victims

COME ON TW!!! Help this guy get his bumper back!!! It’s bound to show up. Spread the word in those communities he mentioned.

Just for more insight into the Castle Doctrine, it does apply to your property, neighbor’s property (with their consent to protect) including your vehicles and place of work.

Full document on Penal Code - Title 2 - Chapter 9

Here is a case that got national spotlight back in 2007 due to the man killing two home invaders that broke into his neighbor’s home. A Texas Grand Jury cleared him of any wrong doing and was never put on trial. He was ultimately protected under section 9.43

Apologies to the OP’er for thread jacking about Texas law. I will delete this if you would like. Mainly wanting to help keep this thread at the top to help get your bumper back.

Sorry to hear this happened to you. Invest in a good dashcam; some people want nice stuff but don't want to work for it. I hope those fuckers get caught.

I know it sucks but if your deductible is low enough you could do an insurance claim. if theft is covered in your policy.

I’m originally from South Louisiana , people go missing all the time there too. Easy to go missing with abundant local wildlife that will act like human garbage disposals. :sawzall:

The 12-15 bumpers actually fit the 05-11 as well. It just goes in front of the lower part of the grille. Actually looks better IMO
    Just can’t put a 05-11 on a 12-15

So we've narrowed it down to fitting about 20,000 trucks in that area. Sorry OP, that shit sucks.
