    I need your Help SOCAL!

It kills me to post this but I've posted this on a few sites and forums and anything helps. I've been a victim of a bike theft on Oct 31st in Santa Monica. 10 minutes is all it took to have my bike taken from me. It was a short 16 days of owning it and it burns so deeply right now.

I had 2 locks on it and in broad day light right in front of Coffee Bean, it was gone. They used 1 bolt cutter for one lock and a torch for the Kryptonite lock. WTF! Right in front of everyone and no one stopped them or him? They left my girls Marin Bobcat Trail w/Fox shocks as I figure it was one person and they decided to take the best of the two.

I already know my mistakes and learned from my lesson. This bike shouldn't have left my site nor be anywhere other then ridden. Sometimes when you're in love and your out enjoying your day, you tend to lose focus of things. *SIGH* Needless to say, it ruined my Halloween night and I didn't go out.:(

This is copied and pasted from my listing. Anyone in the Culver City, Santa Monica, Venice, West LA area know of places to look at. Please let me know.

I've taken my time and rode up and down the Venice boardwalk 2 days in a row looking. I'm on my way now to hit up all bike shops I found on Google to see. Pawn Shops in the area as well. Its stinging so hard right now.

    < REWARD > Contact (626) 234-THREE254 < REWARD >
No Questions asked how you got the bike, I'll give you a reward. I just want it back and returned. So if you stole it to get a quick buck, I'll give you your quick buck

My 2009 KHS White XC204 Full Suspension Mountain Bike was stolen between 5:05-5:17pm in Santa Monica at the Coffee Bean at 200 Santa Monica Boulevard off 2nd street. Bike was locked up with 2 Kryptonite locks and the thief was bold enough to work on the locks in broad day light. I guess the foot traffic of people didn't stop him either w/patrons right outside drinking coffee. *SIGH* I lose faith in people doing the right thing when its called upon. This bike was a gift to me from my parents and carries a sentimental bearing on my heart. It broke my heart to see it gone and the locks laying on the ground. I filed a police report right away and they're working on the store cameras next door to make out the suspect. The suspect is a black african american male wearing a red/black jacket and had struck that day on two other bikes in that area. The serial number to the bike has been reported to Santa Monica Police. Police believe the bike will be in the Venice & Santa Monica area still.

Key things on the bike that didn't come with it in stock form. You will NOT find too many White KHS Frames XC 204 to begin with, but then to find these custom components is nearly difficult.

    1. SEKTOR RL ROCKSHOX w/140mm U-Turn Front Forks. Black Fork w/Gold

    2. FOX FLOAT RP23 Rear Shox Black/Gold

    3. CRANK BROTHERS IODINE 3 WHITE Leather Saddle (Seat)

    3. Alpine Star Sticker on the top of the frame (I guess he could remove that)

    4. White (MEDIUM) KHS Frame with slight red/black accents & silver XC 204 model marking

    5. SRAM X-7 Drive Train

    6. Horst 4 Link Rear Suspension

    7. Maxxis Tires Front and Rear Tires

    8. Black Rims, Black Spokes.

Chances on finding it are slim but in this process, it has been helping as I know I'm trying everything I can to get it back. In the end, lesson learned and life goes on.

    Thanks TW

Just sucks I got my new Crank Brothers 50/50 peddles, Sram White locking grips, & Joplin Seat Post today in the mail. Ouch. . . . I guess its good I didn't install it.

^Yeah man, 16 fucking days. Rode it 7 times when time allowed me to as I was addicted to riding it. It pains me as I was staring to build a relationship with it and picking out names for it. Such a short time. . . .I'm just glad my girl was there to make me feel better and support me in the situation. Thanks Sweets.

I was joking around with my girl to lighten the mood and said, "Its gotta be Karma!." Remember when they say Karma comes back to bite you in the ass 10x harder. . . I guess it came back when I stole a Huffy bike when I was 11 years old. LOL. . . . Me and my evil ways when I was a child. . . Ohh well. . .

when you bought it, the shop should have given you some paperwork along with any owners manuals. somehwere on that paperwork should be the frame serial number. you can give that to the police with the other information on the bike.
we constantly have customers coming in saying their bikes have been stolen, asking what can be done. we will actually report it to the police for them with their information and the serial number. i'm actually surprised how many bikes we get back that way. worth a shot

^ Already has been done. Gave them pictures, full description and even a few scratches on where. The left brake lever has a scuff and the rear derailer has scuffing. Thanks man. . . It fucking sucks to feel helpless and a victim. :(

Want to hear something awesome. .

Someone responded to my craigslist posting about my my bike and they were a victim of the same guy.

We talked and he had his bike stolen from his work at WHOLE FOODS off 5th and Wilshire. His co-workers tried to chase him down and no luck.

The bike was locked up right at the main front doors and this guy is BOLD.

You guys just be careful about your bikes down in that area.
