Not even sure where to post this but has anyone had their lightbar stolen off their prinsu rack? Woke up this morning and my lightbar was gone, and not just unscrewed or unbolted. They used bolt cutters and just cut clean through the mounting brackets. Out here in AZ near Happy Valley and 67th Ave, what I thought was one of the better neighborhoods in the valley and this shit still happens. If I decide to ever get another one, any suggestions on how to secure it? I mean they just cut the brackets so no welds or bulletproof screws/bolts would even work, just bigger brackets or maybe weld covers over the brackets. Thanks

Weld gussets to the side of the brackets. Harder for them to get bolt cutters through a T shaped piece of metal.

I had my side view mirrors stolen once on a different vehicle I previously owned. Fact of the matter is, if someone wants something they'll take it. There is a saying that goes something a long the lines of, "A lock only protects you from honest people." If someone wants something bad enough, they'll figure out the means to take it from you.

Sorry to see this. If they want your truck, even an alarm may not work, they'll drag it on a flatbed in two minutes.

My thoughts exactly, they must of known i had the light secured cause that was the only way they could have gotten it. Spare tire was still there and seems like everything else. Any suggestions of other security measures for anything else that may be easily grabbed, going to be moving soon anyways but some extra lights and maybe a cheaper security camera for now. Going to add another set of locking lugs to my wheels and tires, i know i heard of ppl taking the tailgate as well. I guess the good news is they didnt damage the truck roof or rack that i can tell, might have been seasoned pros at this. Also it was only a Nilight from Amazon, i think like 100-150$ maybe so nothing crazy like a rigid or anything but still...whats next.

    thanks all

Happened to my KC Halogens about 15 years ago. I had them grille mounted. I was at a busy shopping mall - GF's parents were shopping for a Christmas tree and they asked me to haul it home. Ten minutes of parking, finding them, and dragging the tree back to the truck - and they were gone. Rather than unbolt them it looks like they kicked in my grille and broke them out. Cost me more to replace that than the lights.

Sorry man, thieves suck. I'm selling a full HD dual zone dash cam that starts recording when motion is detected if you're interested. A huge addition for me has been a compustar system 2 way alarm as well.

Lol this reminds me of a couple years back, I was being a lazy cheap ass and I didn't want to go put gas in my Honda Accord after I got home even though the gas light came on and I had been driving like that for awhile, so I just parked it. I was gonna fill up in the morning. Overnight someone stole it, and I found it parked a block away. They probably realized the thing was so low on gas and ditched it:rofl::rofl:
