Stolen parts?

Install kill switch behind the coin tray. Flip and forget. Cant start the engine if there's no power to the ignition.

 

There is no coin tray on a 3rd gen

 

Install it under the seat. just run the wires along the wire well under the side trim and attach to the underside of the seat. No theif is gonna be looking under your seat to try to hot wire your truck. Can't hot wire if there's no hot wire.

 

A person that has a damaged one on their truck.

 

Anyone seen the video of a group of mexican? dogs absolutely gnaw the bumper off a vehicle? Hows the salt on the wheel fender...

 

My dog actually just finished off one and a snorkel, so nothing is unbelievable

 

Wouldn't stop parts theft, but you can do what I did to the city for my "abandoned" car which was stored in my driveway for a while, with a car covert etc. They threatened to tow it. I bought some very unnecessarily large chains and cinder blocks. Linked the car, blocks, and (I have over head power lines), to the power pole running down to feed my house. Figured, I don't think any tow truck driver will want to assume some insurance liability and probably just decline the job.

We settled on buying new tags that were slightly out of date a couple weeks later.

I’ll lock them up in my safe and put them on every morning! Then they will never be taken again!!

 

I’m eyeing down every black 2nd gen I see lol no one is safe out here apparently

 

So Toyota is implying once you buy a 3rd gen, you won't have any money left to put in the coin tray so it's not necessary.

 

The only thing Toyota makes easy , spend money.

With My first Tacoma I went wheeling in too deep mud, got stuck, and when turning around I hit her hard reverse and backed into a deep rut. Must’ve did something to the box, and my rear fender flare clips all popped off except for the front and rear bottoms. Truck looked so stoopid, like 2 big floppy ears hanging, if you can picture that. (Thank God I carry duct tape). Ruined a cv axle too. Was a bitch to reinstall the flares too.

 

Forget those beaters for protection though. My brother in Tucson sends me a cam video of a guy going into his back yard and stealing stuff. Asked where his dogs were. His reply. It is winter time ( only 60 degrees outside ) so even though they have a doggy door they stay on the couch and let would be buglers have their way with all possession but their dog toys

now ive broken mine off partially once but it still held with the last bolt and last 4 clips going down the highway at 70mph flapping in the wind lol

 

He probably just got one before you interrupted him,or them.They likely weren't too far away, maybe under your truck, or in the the bed, or maybe behind that John Deere. They were possibly watching you and maybe armed. If you have a dog, send him out there first.

 

local autobody guy out collecting parts for his clients' repairs. that was clearly done by someone who knew what they where doing and knew exactly what they wanted/needed.

 

If he does come back to steal another one, he’s a repeat off-fender.
