Hi! I recently got my Tacoma, and know very little about cars. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'll be driving normally and the truck revs up quite a bit, and then after about a second, it "catches" and jerks forward. This also happens at a lesser extent when I am in drive but completely stopped. It will have a mini jerk forward randomly. It also happens very frequently when coming out of a turn as I start to give a bit of gas. Huge spike in RPM then a jerk forwards.

I've been searching around and it seems like it could be the idle air control valve or something with the transmission. Does anyone have any experience with something similar to this or know of possible solutions? Thanks for the help!
