Congrats on the new truck, if you frequent this forum enough you’ll be doing more mods than leather seats.

Awesome! I really wanted cement but none in the area. There was one on the lot the day I bought mine but it was sold. Some guy was flying up from SoCal to pick it up. I had only planned on a truck without premium but got the white with EVERYTHING. White was an extremely close 2nd choice so I’m still really happy.

At least it’s the TRD OR. My dealer had a couple cement in sport but I had to go OR.

Congratulations! Beautiful truck man. Great choice.

I’m doing a factory order to get what I want since I’m not willing to compromise on my dream ride.

Yeah, that's not true...I just ordered one with a negotiated good price. OR with Tech and Premium. $38,310 MSRP and I was able to negotiate $35,100. It can be done. You need multiple dealerships involved (I had 5 involved initially).

Yup. My salesman is also going be financing it for me as well. We're both from Northern IL, both HUGE Cub fans, have a good sparring over the Vikings and Bears... We'll be getting $500 over invoice ( well below MSRP ), so it pays to hit it off with your salesman. He told us that salesmen aren't paid by the amount of the sale anymore, but get bonuses based on the # of vehicles they sell. So most salesmen themselves really don't care about the end price. Since he's in customer retention and satisfaction, he's even less dependent sale price and volume, so he teams up with an actual salesman in a tag team to help each other out.

It was all email until the last 2 deals. I really did not have a lot of time in it....just shuffling emails between deals and dealers.

Why wouldn’t he, we’ve all been there done that, who else would be able to give him msrp vs what we paid? No one. Dealers won’t tell you what they’ve actually sold it for to try to test him if he’s gullible, or desperate, we wont. We have nothing to gain, dealer does. Strangers has nothing to do with it, he’s not asking what he should buy, he knows what he wants. He’s looking for insight because maybe he’s not sure of how low he can get it for.

    Beat me to it, agreed.

With that said, I got my cement limited 4x2, with tonneau and mud guards, at $36,210. MSRP was $39,610. I made them throw in the bed mat, carpeted floor mats, and doorsill protectors. At the time there were only 3 in the whole USA, one sold as I was negotiating, the other couldn’t be located likely because it was allocated but not on the lot yet, and the last one, became mine. Cement is hard to come by. From what I know, cement only exists on ‘17 pro, and 2018s only. They won’t have it in 2019...my nightmare is it being totaled and never being able to get it in that color again...

$3k is measly? How about all the mods you could to with that measly savings, not sure if you’re hiking or serious but $3k off is a pretty good discount for a truck that sells itself...

3k off isn’t bad. It’s all about not telling dealers how much equity and down payment u have. This way they don’t use that against u to give u a jacked price. Get the best deal possible first.

Nav looks purdy in the dash.

I love having nav. Definitely a nice feature. Have to say though Honda nav is better. But Toyota is good too.
