LARGER WHEELS. DIFFERENT STEREO. PUSH BAR. TAILGATE EXTENDER. WIPER MOD. TPMS LIGHT DELETE MOD.
A few years ago I replaced the tiny "Hot Wheels" size 15" wheels and tires on my 09 access cab and replaced them with 265/65/17.
Immediately I noticed that my brakes required more effort to stop the truck.
It no longer stopped on a dime.
I have since replaced all of the brake fluid with a full bleed.
    No difference.
Good pedal. Just slower to stop.
    Some fade, too.
A few years later, at 70,000 miles, I replaced the drums, rotors, shoes and pads.
I had replaced the front pads once previously. Some auto parts store brand. The material was still pretty thick. The rears also had some meat left.
The drums and rotors looked good. No grooves or wobbles. No visible wear....(I didn't measure them) But...you know....70,000 miles.
    I used AKEBONO ceramic pads.
I can not reccomend these enough.
Once bedded in, they grab like a vise.
    The truck stops like new.
I suppose the one drawback is that with a harder pad, the rotors will wear faster. But, it's well worth it!
If you have altered wheels and they have affected braking, give these a try.
