    ...too much shit to list.
You can't even buy the calipers directly from Stoptech or anyone else for that matter. They will send you over to SOS anyway.

I’m still unclear how you came to this conclusion. Seems like a good deal for a complete BBK that he had to spec out and create for guys that asked to run 16s.

It's the ST-60 caliper. That's the only part I couldn't find online. I'll check the invoice today when I get home for the other part numbers.

The invoice for the slotted rotors, brake lines and pads was $167, came straight from StopTech. The only other part was two ST-60 calipers. Nothing was custom.

For my BBK, the important part was the adapter bracket so the stoptech caliper can actually fit onto the spindle and line up to the disc properly. That's where the magic happens.

I went with the SOS Performance kit because it is all inclusive and bolt on. Unless you are a fabricator/machinist, the price is fair considering the downtime of your truck and labor charges to fab up custom adapters to fit the off the shelf BBK parts.

You are totally right. And you too @Hawk373
In my delirium from a lack of sleep I forgot about the adapter that came with the calipers. That must be custom as it connects the caliper onto the oem bracket with the new nut & bolts provided. I take back what I said. No wonder big brake kits are so expensive.

Anyways I’m excited to get rid of the abs code and have the truck fully bled with a solid brake pedal again.. hopefully this mini techstream off Amazon does the trick.

Kit it is. I’ll let you know how everything works out on mine and what the brakes feel like once I get it all finished.

Has anyone had experience with both this bbk and tacomas that have had the 4runner caliper and rotor exchange in front?

Well, the kit is on, the bleed is done *finally*

Fitment on OEM 16'' Wheels Confirmed

Needed to make a custom master cylinder reservoir adapter for the brake bleeder...don't ever buy a Motive product to bleed Toyota brakes..

Overall I'm happy! Better braking than stock. Still doesn't feel like my Evo felt with those all around Brembos, but it's a start and I'm much more confident in stopping the truck which was my goal. Money well spent. Good luck to everyone else getting this kit and utilizing the discount code which still works.

After about a week of driving around, I can definitely tell a difference in braking. So much smoother now. I still need to get my rear drums serviced. I want to do the rear disc conversion, but not sure when I'll be able to get around to it. A little more hesitant on that one with the master cylinder replacement needed. Also can't stand to do parking brake pads. The springs give me so much hell.

Do you or anybody else hear rubbing with this kit on 16”s? I noticed a sound today with my windows down while driving straight by the beach at low speeds. Haven’t had time to test if it still makes the sounds during turns. It doesn’t sound like it did when it was stock and it’s annoying for sure.

Nice rims. From what I can see you have a bit more clearance than I do. Sigh, guess I’ll be taking the wheels off again soon and figuring this one out! Lol

Did you trim the dust plate back as far as you could? I trimmed as much as I could off mine.

I have both front and rear SOS kits on my 2010 X-Runner. I will be doing the master upgrade here soon but even without it the truck stops much better than stock. Tom from SOS has always been a pleasure to deal with and will back his products.
