Same as me. Silicone tubing, and somewhere around a 10 year old Ozarka water bottle. Lol. Strong plastic.

Maybe I’m just confused, are you saying to put something between the firewall and the back of the pedal?

If not, any rigging holding the pedal down towards the floor that might move even slightly would suck air into the system.

I suspect there’s something more I’m missing. Regardless, I’ve had a lot of success changing out my brake components and fill new calipers and lines up as much as possible with these syringes. 619A4D86-237E-4C29-B9D2-C16FE03C3F8D.jpg

If you have this master then bleeding the ABS module is gonna be a bad time unless you have a techstream link.

For you guys with just the front BBK, could you describe your pedal feel compared to stock brakes? Was it softer, firmer, same? Did you see a minor or major improvement in stopping distance?

I just had mine installed and we felt the pedal is softer, and the initial bite is not quite there. I'll have a chance to drive more tomorrow to get a better feel.

    Thanks in advance.

If you still have the stock master it will be a tad softer. you also need to get a good bleed and may need to bleed that master too. what pads did you use? if they are high temp pads you may also not feel them bite until they warm up. Also need a good bedding.

Initial bite for me got better with a little more miles. Pedal feel got a little more softer but is more linear

mine got firmer and definitely much better braking. If your pedal got softer you might still have some air in the line. You should try bleeding it again. Also, did you bed the brakes?

You may have air in your ABS module, and need to bleed it the system again. Easiest way to pump the air out of there, is find some dirt. Drive and smash the brake pedal to cause the ABS to activate. Do that 3 to 5 times. Bleed the brakes again.

I bet you'll get more air out, unless you used a tool to activate the ABS module through the OBD2 port.

Also I felt mine get better bite after a few weeks. It never, ever, fades. Surprised the crap out of me how much breaking power I was missing prior to these. I haven’t replaced original pads, but there are other pad options that may give you a better brake feeling with everyday driving.

Does anyone happen to know the piston size on the Stoptech ST60 calipers? I'd like to stock up on piston seals ahead of time just in case of a rebuild.

This is probably a better question to ask Stoptech directly.

So there are 2 bleeder valves on each caliper. Do I bleed through either valve or both?

Anyone have a link for replacement pads? Having a hard time finding them. SOS doesn't have replacement pads listed for the 6 piston Tacoma upgrade, only the Tundra, but then the Tundra ST60 pads are also out of stock. About to rebuild the rear drums and want to do the front pads at the same time. Been running these since late summer 2018

This page gives some cross referenced numbers. I think it shows vehicle fitment under the pad part numbers and you can do further searching for pads that fit those cars. https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/race-caliper-parts/stoptech
