How long can you store Mobil 1 motor oil? In sealed unopened containers at Temps from 60-85 degrees F?

I had Mobil 1 stored in my garage since 2007 and put it in my wife's CRV for 5000miles in Jan2013. No problems. Ran like a top. If it was discolored, milky, or dino oil, I would have thrown it out

I'm sure that you have it room tempature you should be fine. Not leaving it in extreme cold or hot weather.

Why don't you call Mobil and ask them your storage question?

    Storing Mobile 1 Oil?

    Question:
Shelf Life of Unopened Mobil 1™ Quarts
Does Mobil 1 synthetic motor oil (in an unopened quart) have any sort of shelf life, like conventional motor oil?
    -- John Lantz, Littleton, CO

    Answer:
ExxonMobil recommends a five year maximum shelf-life for engine oils, including Mobil 1™ synthetic.

I got some last week and now it's been hovering around the freezing mark in my area for about a week. Anyone know the proper storage temperature before it's start to break down and lose its luster?

Why don't you contact Mobil with your question? The answer is likely to be much more reliable than just asking folks on here.
