You guessed it! I go to CU for civil engineering and work construction in the summer to afford my truck obsession.

Traded hoods yesterday, thanks to tacomaworld!

The scoop really does block your vision, but overall looks badass and is more structured (and heavier) than the flat hood. No more problems with the hood flexing in high winds.

After adding a Snugtop Rebel, Prinsu toprac, and occasionally a rooftop tent, the rake on my OME Medium Dakar Leaf Packs was gone. Added an additional OME leaf, All-Pro U-Bolt Flip Kit, OME yellow leaf bushings, and Wheeler’s Rear Superbumps. Also drenched my leafs with fluid film in hope of eliminating the common squeaking problem.

Mounted my maxtrax to the front bedrail using some hardware - works great.

BF-Goodrich KO2's in 285/75/16. Will have to live with the lack of power until Fall 2018 - when I hope to get Nitro 4.88 gears installed.

Would not recommend the Focals (unamplified) at this time. They have great highs but no mids and to compensate you have to adjust the bass to the max. Of course I only have the tweeters and 6x9's, this may be different if you were to buy the 6.5 rears as well.

It's attached to my rooftop tent! Which I have in storage right now. Will be mounted back up top in the next few weeks.

    Bushing Install:

Fold back the fender liner skirt.

Use a pair of vise-grips on the bolt while loosening. Ratcheting wrenches are priceless!

I was able to use the factory jack ontop of a 4x4 and put a wood spacer to help distribute the force. Probably lifted about an inch.

Installed! My bigger bushing did have the metal sleeve; it can be removed and then inserted again from the bottom. Don't forget the stock washer!

    My bushing orientation:

    BODY
    Big washer
Big puck (nipple down, with both sleeves)
    FRAME
    Small puck
    Small washer
    Stock washer
    Stock nut (torqued to 35ft/lbs)

No more creaking and the body lift is noticeable!

Went out to salmonfest music festival in Ninilchik, Alaska. The annex attached to my extended rooftop tent worked amazing and became the central hangout spot. Will be headed back down the Alcan in a few days...

Nice! I didn't want to go the traditional 5100 route - am glad I didn't! Heard they were backordered for quite awhile.

Great looking truck. I've been looking at the ARE CX and the SnugTop CabHi shells. I've noticed in many pictures that the SnugTop almost or partially covers the top part of the 4x4 logo. My OCD kicking in but that may bother me. I see that you've had both an ARE and now the SnugTop. Is it obvious in person?
