I'm surprised Toyota never thought of selling "blocks" to put in there. A first aid block, roadside block, offroad block etc. Just push the foam holder in place. Thing of the mark up profit they would make!

gives me an idea to waterproof it to smoe degree, tape off a u shape above and around the lid, apply a bead of silicon to help detour water, remove tape for a clean finish. Add a thin foam around the lid to seal it further. Might be worth storing a cheap flashlight, short flares, bag, rags, small tarp etc in a foam block light camera cases.

Yeah those cubbies are sweet, my first official mod: Put one of those broccoli rubber bands on the handle of my mag lite so I can actually use the flashlight holder without it rattling.

One of the upright bins behind the driver has a flashlight holder, perfect for the 3 or 4D maglights.

I used to keep bungee cords and ratchet straps in them until they were stolen. So now I keep nothing in there. They are useful to keep wet clothes in when coming home from lake or beach and don't want wet clothes in the cab or blowing around the bed.

Well I put locks on mine so I can keep what ever I want in mine. But tend to just have my trailer hitch and ratchet straps in one (rattles just a bit), small tarp and bungee cords in the other. Have not found a use for the cubbys tho!! They puzzle me.

I have a can of spray paint, some rubbing alcohol in a squirt bottle, and a few towels. I use them to clean and paint my rock sliders after a fun weekend of wheelin' in the desert. In the smaller storage bin I keep a super siphon, petrol gloves, and a rag.

I did mine before I joined TW or TN. I'm surprised it looks exactly like what I did but got mine from Aubuchon Hardware!

I keep my hitch Ball in one side and strap in the other. I also installed locks thought the receiver is really heavy and blew to door of while i was off roading so I had to add a strap to hold the receiver in and then reinstall the locks.
