I have a 2002 basic Tacoma. Its a regular cab, manual transmission, 2wd, 4 cylinder, and still under 40,000 miles. Recently got it fromy grandfather but would love to get a little bit more horsepower out of if, a well as making it a truck that brings attention when it pulls up. I'm open for any suggestions on how to improve both the look, as well as mechanics. Really want to make an offroading truck out of it. Lift, tires and all. Any ideas?

Aiming for the same, you can see my truck through a few of my threads. i have the looks almost dialed in, i kinda want some engine mods too. How much lift you want? my truck has spindles and looks pretty BA for it being a 2wd. i have intentions of lifting it a little more but if you're looking for just a front end lift i'd go with spindles and 15x8 rims

Ah, I'll check it out man, but as of now the plans are a 3" lift, new front end steering pack, tie rods, sways and strut bars. Then the exterior is all up for grabs as well as the engine mods. @

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.

Agreed 100% on that. it's pretty hard to find anything that'll upgrade them besides intake and exhaust, that does require a couple hundred.

How much do these kits normally go for?
