    @WRREGL
What exactly happens when you turn the key/push the button?

    1) Cranks over normally but doesn't start
    2) Cranks over but makes odd/bad noise
    3) Doesn't crank over but makes click/clank noise
    4) Silence

The whole damn world is ridiculous these days...

The veterinarian is 6 weeks out for routine vaccinations.
My doctor scheduled me for 6 months out for my annual.

So the engine cranks? But doesn’t start?
    Or it won’t even crank?

Sounds like the engine will not even turn over...which is not a good sign from the data I have been collecting in the engine thread.

If it was a case of low engine pressure.
    The engine is likely done.
That light doesn’t come on until it is less than 4 psi.
And that’s at idle. Not good at all of it dropped that low while actually running at 1,700+ rpm.

If it won't even turn over then either the battery is complete toast, or something in the engine is internally bound up.

I'm not sure about that. I had a lower oil pressure incident a 5-7 years ago on I4 engine due to failed o-ring on the oil cartridge and was able to drive for a few exits. The engine did not cease. There were no shavings in the oil.
Last couple weeks I was taking that engine down to replace the HG and cylinders/pistons looked fine no signs of oil starvation

Toyota says 4.4 psi or more at idle is ok.

I’m not sure, what you’re not sure about?

    none yet
does the ECU have a starter lockout safety if it thinks its been oil starved requiring Techstream or equivalent to reset? (warranty saver)
taking the OP at his word that the oil was full and clean and no oil starved engine noises I'm putting my early money on some failure in the oil pressure sensor circuit

Which dealer did you have it towed to? Scottsboro, Albertville or Gadsden? I'm not familiar with any in Huntsville.

I can tell you a story I wouldn't recommend doing but might be reassuring.
I got out of work one winter day to find a puddle of oil under the truck. Bad oil filter blew the gasket. The truck had about 1 quart of oil in it. maybe.
Drove it 4 blocks to a gas station and dumped 4 quarts in it.
Proceeded down the road another 1.5 miles to the oil change place. In that 1.5 miles all 4 quarts had drained out.

The truck was fine and never had engine trouble.

It’s not that it comes on “late”.
It’s that it doesn’t come on until is critically low.
You’d think with all the technology we have, we could turn the light on at different pressures.
But not the case here, it is 4.4 psi or less before it comes on. 5 psi is ok at idle, but not at 1,700 rpm.
