I've been having a strange chirping like sound when turning (coming from the front end area), it's intermittent.. At first I thought it may be the tires squealing because it's similar in sound, but I'm not totally convinced that it is.. I had a Toyota Tech ride with me, and he said he didn't know what it was and had never heard that sound, and was perplexed.

I would try and get a video, but even if I caught it at the right time, I don't believe it would capture the sound well enough..

Any ideas or anybody else heard anything like that on their truck?

I have the same, but I think mine is due to being a little out of alignment. It started on mine after I installed my Total Chaos UCA's and cranked the coilovers a half inch. Will let you know if it goes away

My tires chirp when I turn, but my alignment is way off. Yours might be, too.

Power steering fluid filled? I've head the P steering pump chip on some cars. Those may have been the belt slipping, but I would say not with the cogged belt. Get a mechanics stethoscope and have a buddy sit behind the wheel and turn the wheel ....

I've heard noisey power stearing pumps and belts. I wont eliminate those.. But for some reason I don't think it's either. Altho it's possible.

The alignment is pretty much dead on. It's been checked etc. PS fluid is good.

I wish there was a way to get the sound on video. It's weird and perplexing. It almost sounds like a turkey call, if you just chirp it.

Does it only do it at idle/low speed or can you hear it at a higher RPM ???

I had an old 74 Monte Carlo that did this and it was a Vacuum line that got all oiled up and expanded on the Vacuum fitting .... it was sucking in air at the fitting and kinda sounded like your noise??

What about a suspension component that needs grease?

No it doesn't sound anything like air being sucked into a fiiting or line.
It's at lower speeds and up to around 40ish, but that's basically because the amount or degree of turning at higher speeds is reduced. It's more when turning in the mountain roads or onto to a road, not like a sweeping turn on the highway. And it will only do it once in a single turn. Not continually.

Yeah It does have some sort of sound like it could be from something in the suspension. But I cant think of what two things would be moving in a way against each other to make that noise.

I notice some tire chirp coming from my spare tire when it has lost a little air over time and is no longer snug. Easy to check by reacing through the wheel well, grabbing the spare and giving a shake....

Probably not your issue, but easy to check...

    Actually, That's a good thought.

Also, although more mechanical - I'm thinking of the centrifugal force an a low speed turn. I'd check anything that might shift. Exhaust, heat shields, anything that may move ....

Does it do it when the truck is stationary ???

I got it too. (Think we can initiate a recall?lol) I'm changing my hubs (drivers side is bad). I'll see if it goes away, and let you know.

Yeah I'm sure it's not from there. But thanks anyway.
No only when moving and turning.
    Thanks for the update.
Thanks for update. I wouldn't think my hubs are bad, it's only a 13, but anythings possible.

No it's not at full lock. Pretty much about a quarter turn to a third.
    Thanks for the input.

Trying to track this noise down is a pain. Especially since it does it only while moving and turning.
My main concern really is, if it's the begining of something going wrong or bad, I'd like to catch it before it fails. Hopefully it's nothing.

OP mine does the same thing. I've been trying to figure out what it is as well. I tried to capture it once, but it was too hard since it only happens when I'm driving and making a slight turns sometimes. The best way I can describe the sound is it sounds like you are using the washer fluid. that sound.

weird. I'm gonna have a dealership look at it soon if it comes up again to be safe
