Hello, I just bought a used 2013 Double Cab TRD Sport. Carfax says it lived in Florida until it was repossessed. It has 25K miles on it. I noticed a couple strange things, and am wondering if you all can help me guess how/why this truck was modified.
    • Dash switch panel has a blue LED light, with cut wires.
    • There is a small three pin connector fed to the top right of windshield
    • Extra inline fuses and cut wires in fuse box area
    • Directed 556U Engine Immobilizer Bypass module, disconnected above fuse box
    • Only came with aftermarket keys and fob (not Toyota).
    • Keys stamped with "G", Now way to tell if Engine Immobilizer is working -- assume so.
I read the 556U wold be for remote start. I don't know why someone would want that in FL, with no snow and cold weather. Also, no idea on the blue LED. Maybe extra security system?

    I appreciate any guesses...

By the way, I've already found so much useful info on this forum in the last two days!! Thanks to everyone!!

Sounds like a Viper Alarm, Directed is a company that produces them. Rip it out and start fresh.
