Went wheeling this weekend and when I came back, I have started to hear a noise coming from the underside of the truck. (I will preface this with I have always had lowered manual Honda's. I don't know if I am being paranoid or if something might really be wrong) I don't think it is the suspension I think that maybe something underneath might be loose or something may be broken. I climbed underneath it and there is nothing that looks f'd/torn/bent anything. And it is only when I slow down it just kinda makes a noise even if I am not on the brakes. And the transmission is shifting kinda roughly. I did go 4Wheeling this weekend and I am not sure if the truck is still "recovering" from that or what is going on, just seeing if it is normal for the transmission to be a little rough on the shifts after 4Wheeling.

I have a 2006 DCSB SRF TRD OffRoad with the V6

Thanks for any insight and help.

Check for rocks wedged between your skids and oil pan/tranny.

when at 30-40 mph, it just sounds like extra wind drag. I know it is not motor/trans related because I got going 40, shut off the truck and the noise itself continued. Haven't had time to climb underneath yet but I should have a report on what it is soon

Thought it was but it isn't shifting rough anymore. Another weird thing, when I was on the way to work today, I was driving in 2WD and then it started to get pretty wet on the roads by work. Slowed down, did the proper procedure for 4WD as it says in the manual, drove the 30-40 mph and the noise is gone. Any ideas?

I want to get under it right now at work but unfortunately I am stuck a little longer at work

It honestly sounds just like a little extra wind drag (I have a little since I have a roof rack from the previous owner but it feels like wind is catching underneath the truck somewhere some how). I think that the "rough shift" is from the extra wind drag and not actually shifting a more roughly.
