Ok this is weird. I have a 13 Taco Dbl cab TRDOF, with a 3in lift and 33s. I already did the bearing swap ok the drivers side.

When I first start up my truck in the morning I get this weird hum from the front end when I pull out of my drive way. It goes away once I get going. Could it be the brakes?

I also have a poping noise from my front end when making turns...it's worse when I'm reversing and only happens when it's cold or wet outside. I checked my wheel bearing by jacking up the front end and rotating them and shaking them, there is no shaking.

I asked the shop that lifted the truck, the alignment shop, and my mechanic. They can't figure out what's wrong with it. A lot of people on forums keep telling me that it's just a Lifted Tacoma being a lifted Tacoma. A lot of people are telling me that I'm just over thinking this. It drives fine and DOSENT pop or hum once I've driven it a few miles.

Does the steering jerk in your hands? Might be a tie rod or steering rack making the poping. And then the pump making the whirring. Maybe.

Pump low on fluid? Pump going bad? Bad/old/worn Belt? Belt slipping/popping? Idler fully seizing up after sitting? Water pump/bearing? Any water dripping from the water pump shaft?

I'm not sure about the popping noise but mine makes the same hum when I first start it up and goes away after about 20-30 seconds. I thought that was normal. Figured it was like the noise it makes when you turn the truck off. I have a 2013 dcsb trd sport.

How about a loose vacuum hose/leak. Just a thought.

No leaks, no low fluids, no bad fluids, belt is good and tight.

No steering wheel jerk at all.

The just did a induction cleaning. Wouldn't that find any vacuum leaks?

I did find something on the rack and pinion assembly will pop on some lifted Tacoma due to how the grease is held onto the joints.

Idk, I might just be over thinking things.
I really appreciate all the quick responses. Y'all are awesome

the humming noise is most likely your intake tube going into your inner fender.check to make sure your sway bar isn't hitting anything.

    Humming noise ^^^
Popping noise, make sure that your lower control arm bolts at the frame are really tight, the last time I had an alignment, I had a popping/clunk when I hit the brakes "my" mechanic found that that alignment bolts weren't tight enough, once tightened the noise dissappeared.

Do y'all know the torque specs for the LCA bolts? I've heard 100 and I've also heard 150. The popping is getting worse so I'm taking to the shop that did my alignment today and I wanna make sure that they torque it to the proper specs.

Humming noise...are you sure it's not your air injection pump your hearing, mine comes on for 20-30 seconds upon starting the truck and after shutting the truck off.

It could be that for the humming. I wouldn't doubt it. I probably just never realized til after I got the lift and started really paying attention to everything my truck was doing. But the popping is definitely new.

Ok so I just got back from the alignment shop and the torqued everything down and also checked everything else. Entire ride home there was no pop. I get home and go to back into my drive way and low and behold it's popped....twice. It seems to only be coming from the drivers side.

worn out bushing? Tightening might have held it for awhile until you hit something and it shifted.

Wouldn't bad bushings make noise all the time? Like over bumps, tight turns etc? I only get the clank/pop noise when it's cold or wet outside or when I'm reversing into a parking spot. Going over bumps nothing happens...I really don't wanna go to the stealership.
