Hello, I'm new to the forum. I have a '10 crewcab trd sport longbed. It makes a strange noise. Most times, shortly after startup, and I think it has to be in gear, you can hear a servo noise or small electric motor noise that lasts about 2 seconds. I don't think it happens again until the next startup-----and it doesn't seem to happen every time---(I only have 200 miles so IDK), This seems to come either from the firewall or behind the glove box. Any ideas ??? Thanks in advance.

I believe that sound is directly related to your ABS diagnostic system. That sound is completely normal (per Service Foreman who I met a couple days ago). The sound to me...is similar to a compression type of noise but your description seems to be along the same type. In fact, you are probably hearing that sound from the front passenger fender/engine area. When you don't hear that sound...well, then you should be worried.

Just part of the normal diagnostics that the vehicle will go through after you start it. The sound should come on after the vehicle has moved forward a couple feet or more.
