Got home after sitting in traffic for an hour, and when I went to leave 10 minutes later, the engine revved up like metal was grinding together, and she wouldn't start easy. Opened up hood and saw this leak... What is it, and what can I do about it? Any ideas on the cost?

Looks like it got hot. Thats antifreeze mixture being pushed out. That is both end of the top hose isn't it? Let it cool down and check radiator fluid levels. Look for other leaks as well.

Did the temps go up when you were sittin in traffic? Looks like it did. If it was very "warm" when you shut if off, after 10 minutes of setting it would be even warmer.

FIXED! It was the hose. We replaced the hose and put on new clamps. Added more radiator fluid, checked for other leaks, and everything was good. Shouldn't happen again. Thanks for the suggestions!
