I know this isn’t r/mechanicadvice but I figure someone here might be able to help

When the wheel is fully cranked to the right there will be an audible and painful thunk sound mid turn.

It doesn’t happen with every turn, most notably it seems to happen when there’s a bump or hole such as coming out of my driveway where the truck dips down a little bit.

my brother in law said it had something to do with the four wheel drive system and it’s not immediately concerning but to get it checked out before winter.

    thoughts? Opinions? Advice?
