Blew the dust off my wallet and bought a new battery from the dealer yesterday. Old one was on it's way out. Might have paid more, but service is always good at their parts dept. They even lent me a 10mm to change it out so I could get my core charge back without having to go back there. Weird thing is, after I fired it up the idle dropped below 500rpm and that's where it stayed. Runs ok, just low. Went to have lunch with some pals and when I got to the pub the parking lot was empty and very snowy ;-) Of course the traction control ruined my fun, so I shut it off. To my surprise the 'AUTO LSD' light came on the dash. What the hell does that mean. I mean, I know what a limited slip diff is, but how does that work? Most work by picking up the non spinning wheel with the pre-loaded clutch pack so they spin in unison. What is 'AUTO LSD'? Thanks in advance for the enlightenment!

The low idle is most likely a dirty throttle body, when the battery is disconnected the ECM "forgets" the idle compensation value that is stored in memory as the throttle body gets dirty over time.

Auto LSD is a system that uses the ABS (Antilock Brake System) to individually apply the rear brakes to simulate a limited slip differential.

Cool! Thanks so much for that. Great info. When it warms up, I'll tackle that. The weather, I mean ;-) While I've got someone knowledgeable on the line; with 200,000 ks on my truck, do you see any value in putting in a set of cleaned, flow tested fuel injectors for driveability and maybe fuel mileage? I have a spare set I could get done, then swap them out when I have my truck in my shop

Unless your having an issue I wouldn't do anything with the injectors.
Spark plugs should be done every 30k miles (48k KM) or so with Denso or NGK OE part number plugs.

Thanks, I'll leave them for now. Plugs are pretty recent, but I'll check the mileage. Thanks again!
