Thought I'd post in here for the 3rd gen specific folks:

I have 265/70/17 Cooper STT Pros (10.7" section width and 31.9" height) and love them but have been considering other sizes now that I'm getting my 2" lift. I came across 305/65/17's which are quite appealing... I'd much rather have the width versus height and they come in at 32.7" in height and a hefty 12.3" section width.

Anyone try this size before? I'm thinking that it might be a bit safer on the cab mount rubbing but might need to watch UCA rubbing.

Also noticed that BFG KO2's (which I've been considering switching over to) come in this size and are a tad friendly on the sizing 12.2" section width and 32.6" height...

Those tires are basically a traditional 33x12.5 you’ll rub the cab mount for sure

Type it (305/65/17) in Search box in upper right corner, check this form only. Your answer is there.

on stock pro wheels I'm about a half inch from the UCA with 285s, I have never rubbed on my cab mount, but had to heat gun a little plastic. I think there's more room in the wheel well for a taller tire, I am not really sure about a wider one

I’m running 285/75/16’s and clear the UCA’s but just barely. I don’t think it would work.

Same thing here 285/75/16, that is about all she can handle in my opinion.

Yea, I saw a guy with a 2nd gen running these 305’s but with -10 offset. I’m thinking that with a 1.25” spacer I could pull it off, but that’s a pretty wide setup. Then again... that’s what I’m looking for.

If I do it, I’ll make sure to report back! Haha
