hey guys as some of you know i have some billy 5100s coming soon(they should be here tuesday or wednesday :D) but im trying to understand somethings. The reason i bought them is to get rid of the spacers i have. The only reason i wanted to get rid of the spacers is to take the stress of my cv boots. With the 5100s, will they take the stress off of them? so i can replace them and i wont have to worry about them any more

setting the 5100's at 2.5 will be where you need it for your truck, but you may still have a little stress on the cv's. do you have 4x4?? if so.....get a diff drop from toytec....round $25 or so, and it'll help with that.

If you don't go over 2.5" or 3" you should have no problems with your CVs. How big of spacers do you have now?

boots are cheap...complete axles are in the $200 range...

if the axles themselves arent busted and just the boots ripped...and you have any sort of mechanical skill...replace the boots...possibly even look into the extended boots for lifted trucks (i think downey and allpro sell them)

im betting you can change them...it shouldnt be terribly hard...let me find the writeup...ive got it saved somewhere

boots are cheap...you can buy stock or extended...that would help with them not tearing again

whole new axle...because you still have to remove the axle either way...and with a new one you just pop it in...changing a boot has a whole bunch of extra steps...
